Lament for John Morrison of Assynt House

This pibroch is played by Na Dudaichean of Plockton, with Struan on Highland reel pipes, Suzanne on whistles, Calum on fiddle, Roya on accordion and Rachel on clarsach and piano.

The band noted on the CD that, 'The piobaireachd was taught to Struan by Iain MacFadyen and we took a bit of a risk by adding the full band to the ground of it. Mr MacFadyen has given it his seal of approval, though!'

The 'ground' or 'ùrlar' is the basic tune of the pibroch, which is followed by variations.
